The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
does resolve as follows:
THAT this Board intends to convey to the City of Walnut
Creek a portion of the County owned Walnut Creek Library real
property in the City of Walnut Creep as described in the following
notice, for purposes of widening Main Street in the City of
Walnut Creek; and
THAT the property to be conveyed by County is not
required for County use; and
THAT, the Clay of Walnut Creek, in consideration for
the conveyance of said real property shall construct at no cost
or expense to County certain street improvements; and
THAT this Board does hereby set Tuesday, the 11th day
of July , 1961, at 10:00 o'clock- a.m. of sala aay in
the am ers o -H_e Board of Supervisors in the Hall of Records,
Martinez, California, as the time and place when and where said
Board will meet to consummate the conveyance of the real property
described in said notice; and
THAT the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors be and is
hereby directed to cause to be published in the "WALNUT KERNEL",
a newspaper of general circulation, for one week immediately
preceding the date set for hearing, the following notice:

"NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONVEY REAL PROPERTY„
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, has on the
20th day of June, 1961, in regular meeting, declared its intention
to convey to the City of Walnut Creek the following described
real property:
All that certain real property situated in the City of
Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, State of California,
described as follows:
Portion of Lot 20 as shown on the map entitled "R.
N. Burgess Company's Map No. 1 of Railroad Addition to
Walnut ' Creek`p, which map was filed in the office of the
County Recorder of Contra Costa County on June 9, 1913,
in Book 10 of Maps at page 235, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 20 as said
lot is shown on the map entitled "R. N. Burgess Company's
Map No. 1 of Railroad Addition", herein above referred to;
thence South 67° 48' 49" West, along the southern line of
said lot, (the bearing of said southern line being taken
as South 67Q 48' 49" West for the purpose of this descrip-
tion), 13.47 feet to a point on aline parallel to and distant
50 feet westerly measured at right angles from the center
line of North Main Street; thence running along said parallel
line North 22° 55 ' 36" West, 39.19 feet to a point on the
northeasterly..line of said Lot 20, from which point the
center of a curve concave to the southwest having a radius
of 210.11 feet bears South 42° 29 ' 52" West; thence south-
easterly along the arc of said curve, .bping also along the
northeasterly line of said Lot 20, through a central angle
of 110 21' 54", an are distance of 41.68 feet to the point
of beginning.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that it is proposed to convey
said property to the City of Walnut Creek in consideration for
the street improvements to be done by City at no cast or expense
to County; and
THAT Tuesday, the 11th day of ul , 1961,
at 10:00 o'clock a.m. of said day- n the chambers o t e Board
of Supervisors, Hall of Records, Martinez, California, has been
fixed as the time and place when said Board will meet to make
such conveyance.
