HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 05231961 - RES-114 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of ACA 2 RESOLUTION NO. ]L14 and ACA 51. WHEREAS, ACA 2 and ACA 51 are now receiving the con- sideration of the California State Legislature; and WHEREAS, these amendments provide for the elimination of fallout structures from local property tax rolls, and the setting of standards for such tax exemptions; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Board that any such constitutional amendments and related implementing legis- lation should be enacted on a permissive basis, and the matter of setting standards and exemptions from taxation should be locally determined; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that it goes on record as opposing ACA 2 and ACA 51; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THIS BOARD that Will H. Perry, Jr., Director of the Contra Costa County Disaster Office, is authorized to appear in Sacramento to testify at hearings on these amendments and present to the Legislative Committee the position of this Board. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable George Miller, Jr ., Senator, 17th District; the Honorable Jerome R. Waldie, Assemblyman, 10th Dis- trict; and the Honorable John T. Knox, Assemblyman, lith District .
