WHEREAS, AB 2323 is now receiving the consideration of the California ,Mate Legislature; and WHEREAS, the Centra Costa County Board of Supervisors has examined this bill which provides for mandatory legislation pertaining to the boundaries of supervisorial districts; and WHEREAS, California counties now have authority under the law to modify the boundaries of the supervisorial districts; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that the passage of AB 2323 be opposed on the grounds that it is unneces- sary on either a permissive or mandatory basis , BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the. Honorable George Miller, Jr., Senator, 17th District; the Honorable Jerome R. Waldie, Assemblyman, 10th Dis- trict; and the. Honorable John T. Knox, Assemblyman, 11th Dis- trict . is-trict . PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of May, 1961, by the following vote of the Board AYES: Supervisors Thomas John Coll, Joseph S. Silva . NO: Supervisor James P. Kenny. ABSENT: Supervisors Mel F.
