The 'Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
does resolve as follows:
THAT on the 28th day of March, 1961 the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa passed a
resolution of intention to abandon the hereinafter described
County road , and
THAT said resolution fixed Tuesday, the 9th day of
May 196' , at ten o'clock a.m. in the chambers of
the '3oar of Supervisors, 119.11 of Records, Martinez, California,
as the time and place for the hearing of said resolution and
ordered said resolution to be published and posted, as required
by law, and
THAT affidavits on file herein show that said notice
of time and place of bearing was published and posted as
provided by law, and
THAT said hearing was held on the 11th day of May,
1961 , at the time and place appointed, and
THAT the Board at said time and place heard evidence
offered concerning the abandonment and duly considered the
same, and
THAT the Huard of Supervisors of the County of Contra
Costa does hereby find that the hereinafter described
County road
dedicated to public use, is actually unnecessary for present
or prospective use, and
THAT the hereinafter described County road
is hereby abandoned.
Description:
A portion of the county road known as Mt. Diablo
Blvd., more particularly described as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. $2
Dated: May 11, 1961
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 1 as said
lot is shown on the subdivision map entitled
"Sunset Village Unit No. l", recorded August 16,
1946 in Book 30 of Maps at,page 24, Centra Costa
County, California:
Thence from said point of beginning easterly along
the northerly line of said Lot 1 and along a curve
to the left with a radius of 2110.00 feet, the
center of which bears North 19* 44' 55" West, an
are distance of 80.59 feet to a point of reverse
curve; thence along said reverse curve with a radius
of 20.00 feet, through an angle of 88* 31' 13", an
are distance of 30«90 feet to a point .of cusp; thence
North 23* 25' Fest 60.02 feet; thence northerly and
westerly -along a tangent curve to the left with a
radius of 20 feet, through an angle of 88* 280 39",
an are distance of 30.88 feet to a point of reverse
curve; thence westerly along said reverse curve with
a 'radius of 2050.00 feet, through an angle of 20 1 '
12`= an are distance of 80.62 feet; thence South -23a
25! East 60.12 feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING AND SERVING THEREFROM, pursuant to the provisions of
Section 959.1 of the Streets and Highway Code, the easement and
right at an time or .from time to time for the owner of an exist-
ing facility used for utility purposes, including but not limited
to transmission and distribution lines for electric Power and
communication services to maintain, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge existing lines of poles, wires and other con-
venient equipment and fixtures for the operation of existing
facilities, including access to work on the .facilities and to
protect the facilities from all hazards, in, upon, under and
over the parcel of land described as follows;
Beginning at a point in the southwesterly boundary
line of the hereinbefore described road to be aban-
doned, from which the northwest corner of said Lot 1
bears South 23* 25' East, 39.0 deet distant and run-
ning thence North 58* 340 East 56 feet; thence South
71* 00t East, 61.5 feet, more or less, to the north-
easterly boundary line of the hereinfore' described
road to be abandoned; thence North 23* 25' Nest 35 feet,
thence northerly and westerly along a .tangenb curve to
the left with a radius of 20 feet, through an angle of
88* 28' 39", an are distance of 30.88 feet to a point
of reverse curve; thence westerly along :said reverse
curve with a radius of 20750.00 feet, through an angle
of 2* 15' 12t1 an are distance of 80.62 feet; thence
South 23* 25t East 21.1 feet to the point of begin-
ning.
PASSED ANIS ADOPTED by the following vote of the Board:
