The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
does resolve as follows :
THAT the following is the position of Contra Costa
County with reference ,to certain pending legislation:

AB 2088 Augments appropriation for payments
to designated counties and cities
for tuberculosis sanatoria . Endorsed
SB 247 Revises manner in which cities and
counties are required to use con-
tributions toward care of patients
for whom State tuberculosis subsidy
is claimed. Endorsed
SB 282 Requires ;tate Department of Public
Health to maintain a health program
for seasonal agricultural workers
and their families . Endorsed
5B 33z) Authorizes State Registrar, local reg-
istrar or County Recorder to use a
printed, stamped or photographically
reproduced facsimile signature in cer-
tifying a record provided official
seal is affixed. Endorsed
SB 1503 Authorizes Board of Supervisors to is-
sue temporary notes at four per cent
interest for acquisition of vote tabu-
lating equipment, and authorizes State
Treasurer to invest in such notes . Endorsed
ACA 79 Requires that salaries fixed by the
Legislature for boards of supervisors,
district attorney or auditor must be
ratified by a majority vote of the
eligible voters of the county. Opposed

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
forwarded to the Honorable George Miller, Jr. , Senator, 17th Dis-
trict; the Honorable Jerome R. Waldie, Assemblyman, 10th District,
and the Honorable John T. Knox, Assemblyman, 11th District .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of May, 19061, by the fol-
lowing vote of the Board:
AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen,
Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linsc;heid, Joseph
S. Silva.
