In the Matter of Resolution
concerning air pollution con- RESOLUTION NO,
trol legislation.
On motion of Supervisor Nielsen, seconded by Supervisor
Linscheid, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board reaffirms its previous
position on. air pollution control legislation (Resolution No. 19
adopted April 12, 1961, in which the Board sustains its original
position whereby it will agree that a. maximum of 10 increase in
the District ' s tax will receive Board support, provided that some
procedure is set up for Local enforcement on a reimbursable basis),
and requests that the urgency clause previously included in
AB 1223 be amended back into the bill (AB 1228); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the principle of local enforce-
ment contained in AB 2717 also .be incorporated in AB 1228; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
forwarded to the Honorable George Miller, Jr., Senator, 17th Dis-
trict; the Honorable Jerome R. Waldie, Assemblyman, 10th District;
and the Honorable John T. Knox, Assemblyman, 11th District .

lowing vote of the .Board:
AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel. F. Nielsen,
Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid.
NOES: None .
ABSENT: Supervisor Joseph S. Silva.
