HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011961 - RES-079 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of the Execution of the Lease with the Veterans ' Building Committee of the Martinez Veterans ' Memorial Building for RESOLUTION NO, Quarters for the Centra Costa County Veterans ' Service Office. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Centra Costa does resolve as follows: THAT there now exists a lease between the County and the Veterans' Building Committee of the Martinez Veterans' Memorial Building, pursuant to which the County is leasing to the Veterans' group the entire building located at Ward and Court Streets, Martinez, California, known as the Martinez Veterans ' Memorial Building, and WHAT the present facilities for the Veterans' Service Office, located at the Court House, will soon be unavailable and it is, therefore, necessary to obtain new quarters, and THAT the main floor of the Martinez Veterans ' Memorial Building is. appropriate for such quarters and that a new lease is hereby entered into between County and the 'Veterans' Building Committee of the Martinez Veterans ' Memorial. Building for an appropriate consideration, whereby the County shall use a portion of the main 'floor for the Veterans' Service Office, and THAT the Chairman of the Beard of Supervisors and the County Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said lease on behalf of the County of Contra Costa, and THAT that lease commencing the lst day of January, 1956, shall, upon the execution of the new lease herein referred to, terminate and that all rights, privileges, obligations and duties thereunder shall cease, PASSEL AND ADOPTED this _ZagL_day of ._&,y , 1961, by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen, Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. RESOLUTION NQ.
