The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra
Costa does resolve as follows;
THAT the following is the position of Contra Costa
County with reference to certain pending legislation:
Bill Subject Position
AB 284 Creates County Records Commission
to establish rules for the disposal
of county records. Endorsed
AB 1290 Provides that 1 of the State fee
for licensing nurseries shall be
paid to county rather than to
State . Endorsed
AB 1992 Allows county to establish fees
for enforcement of State public
health statutes and regulations. Endorsed
AB 2406 Provides for issuance of permits
by Bay Area Air Pollution Control
District for burning of combustible
rubbish. opposed
AB 2932 Requires districts to file capital
improvement plans with County
Planning Commission. Endorsed.
AB:-2945 Allows the Board of Supervisors to
dissolve districts which have not
collected taxes or other revenues
for two consecutive years. Endorsed
AB 2958 Allows the Board of Supervisors to
dissolve defunct districts upon
petition of district boards of
directors . Endorsed
SB 853 Creates the Golden Gate Trans-
portation Commission. Endorsed

mental, immunity from tort liability. Endorsed
SB 1294 Authorizes Board of Supervisors to
adopt one per cent vehicle license
fee for financing roads and streets . Endorsed
SB 1412 Establishes method of allocation of
money in State Highway Fund to State
highway districts and provides for
minimum allocation. Endorsed
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution
be forwarded to the Honorable George Miller, Jr., Senator, 17th
District; the Honorable Jerome-1t. 'Telaldie, Assemblyman, 10th Dis-
trict; and the. Honorable John T. Knox, Assemblyman, 11th Dis-
trict .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of May, 1961, by the
following vote of the Board:
AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen,
Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph
S. Silva.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
