In the Matter of the Construction
of Pavement, Curbs and Gutters 0/1
along Verna Way between Lydia Lane RESOLUTION NO.+
and Yosemite Circle, Concord
(Assessment Proceeding 1961-2).
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board a
petition signed by owners of property fronting on Verna Way
between Lydia Lane and Yosemite Circle, Concord, and said
petition was filed with the Clerk of this Board on February
24, 1961; and
WHEREAS, there is on file with the Clerk of this
Board a finding by the Director of Public Works that said
petition was signed by persons owning more than fifty per cent
(50%) of the front footage of property on each side of said
portion of Verna flay, and
WHEREAS, said petitioners request the installation
of pavement, curbs and gutters along said portion of Verna
Way.,
NOW, THEREF€3RE, BE IT RESOLVED that under the
authority of Section 5876 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, the Director of Public Works be
and he hereby is instructed to notify the owners or persons
in possession of the property fronting on said portion of
Verna Way to construct or cause to be constructed a curb,
gutter and pavement in front of their property.
THAT the Director of Public Works be and he hereby
is ordered to take all necessary proceedings under the pro-
visions of Chapter 27 of Part 3 of Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California in order to
complete said improvements .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of April, 1961,
by the following vote of the Board.
AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Teel F. Nielsen,
Thomas John Coll., Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph
S. Silva.
NOES: None.
