IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
EX-OFFICIO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY WATER AGENCY
In the Matter of Supporting
Senate Resolution No. 93 RESOLUTION NO. '
and Senate Bill No. 778.
WHEREAS, this Board considers the protection of the
Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta of prime importance to the County;
and
WHEREAS, any official act by the State of California
or the Department of Water Resources in effecting the State
Water Plan, whether it be eminent domain proceedings or the
signing of a unilateral contract to divert water from the Delta,
may impair the potential of the Delta;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board takes
the following positions with respect to legislation presently
pending in the California State Legislature:
Senate Resolution No. 93 - Strongly Support;
Senate Bill No. 778 - Strongly Support.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution
be forwarded to the Honorable George Miller, Jr., Senator, 17th
District; the Honorable Jerome R. Waldie, Assemblyman, 10th Dis-
trict; and the Honorable John T. Knox, Assemblyman, 11th District.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 12th day of April, 1961, by the
following vote of the Board:
AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen,
Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph
S. Silva.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
