HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10042004 - 71-812 IIS THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Assembly Bill � RESOLUTION NUMBER 71/812 Number 3066 3 WHEREAS the Assembly and the Senate of the California State Legislature' have passed Assembly Bill Number 3066 providing for sub- mission to the voters at the 1972 General. Election of a bond issue for beaches, parks, recreational and historical facilities in the amount of $250,,000.-000; and WHEREAS there is an insistent public demand for improved and additional state and local government open space and recreational facilities and WHEREAS the availability of areas suitable for park and recreational purposes is rapidly lessening NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED .that the Honorable Ronald Reagan, Governor, State of California, is urged to sign Assembly Bill Number 3066 thereby providing an opportunity to the voters of the state to decide whether they wish to incur an additional bonded indebtedness for aforesaid purposes. BE IT BY THE BOARD FURTHER RESOLVED that its representatives in the California State Legislature are urged to request the Governor to approve Assembly Bill Number 3066. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of Novembers 1971 by the following vote of the Board AYES. Supervisors A. M. Dias, J. E. Moriarty, W. N. Boggess, E. A. Linscheid, J. P. Kenny. NOES. None.
