The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
The County Administrator has informed this Board that the
residential improvements located at 1010 Pine Street and 101.5 Court
Street, in the City of Martinez on land acquired for future Civic
Center purposes, described in the Notice to Bidders attached hereto
and by reference incorporated herein, must be removed and recommends
that sealed bids be received for the demolition and removal of the
improvements.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa finds
and determines that the above described improvements are no longer
needed for any public use and hereby directs the County Right of
Way Agent to call for 'sealed bids for the demolition and removal of
the improvements in accordance with the specifications for demolition
prepared by the Right of Way Agent which are hereby approved.
This Board sets Thursday, December 9, 1971 at 11 a.m. , in the
office of the Right of Way Agent, 5th Floor, Administration Building,
Martinez, California, as the time and place for reception and public
opening of sealed bids.
The Clerk of the Board is directed to post in three public
places in the County at least five (5) days prior to the call for
bids the Notice to Bidders attached hereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on November 23 , 1971, by at least a 4/5 vote
of this Board.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received in the office of the County Right
of Way Agent, 5th Floor, Administration Building, Martinez, California,
until 11.04 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 1971, for the demolition
and removal from County property the following described buildings:
Item No. 1: (a) Woad frame house and detached
shed located at 1010 Pine Street,
Martinez.
(b) Wood frame house located at
1415 Court Street, Martinez.
Specifications and Proposal farms are available at the office
of the County Right of Way Agent, 5th Floor, Administration Building,
Martinez, California.
The buildings will be opened for inspection upon request to the
County Right of Way Agent.
All bidders will be required to submit a bid bond, cash, or
cashier's check in the amount of $100.00 as a bid. guaranty.
The successful bidder will be required to execute a Demolition
Contract with the County of Contra Costa, agreeing that said demolition
and removal will be done in accordance with the Specifications for
Demolition and Removal of Buildings. The accepted bidder will also
be required to submit to the County a performance bond in the amount
of $1,000 and a labor and material bond in the amount of 50% of the
contractor's estimated cost of labor, as approved by the County.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids
received.
