IN T.1-1E BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Extending 'fest Wishes to Former -RESOLUTION NUMBER '171/780 Di.strict Attorney Francis W. Collins . vfflEREAS this Board has been advised that former District Attorney Francis V1. Collins has been seriously ill for a number of weeks; and WHEREAS Mr. Collins, a native son, is widely known throu-ghout Contra Costa County, not only as for his diligent and effective work as District Attorney for a period of some fourteen years, but also for his participation as an official and citizen leader in community -i e e ,affairs in-cludin- service as a school. district trustee; for tl e ,x(,- 1- lence of his work as a pri,vate attorney; and for his devotion to his fine fam. 11-y comprised of his wife , his son and two daughters; and 'WHEREAS this Board has in recent weeks nissed the presence of Mr. Collins at -its meetings at which he has appeared from time to time to offer sound advice in endorsing or opposing proposed actions; NOW, THEREFORE., on motion of Supervisor. Alfred M. Dias, seconded by Supervisor James E. Moriarty, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPER- VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOL14T11D that it exnresses to Mr. Francis W. Collins its deep appreciation of his out- standing services to his county as an elected official and community leader, and witsbes for him a speedy recovery to full. health slid an early return to work with his countless friends and associates. PASSED and ADOPTED -this 16th day of November, 1971. by the, following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors Alfred M. Dias, James E. Moriar4-v, Warren N. Boggess, Edmund A. Linschaid , James P.
