SUBJECT: EXTEND THE KENSINGTON MUNICIPAL ADVISORY COUNCIL THROUGH
JUNE 30, 2003
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION: EXTEND the Kensington Municipal Advisory Council
through June 30, 2003, pursuant to the authority granted by Section 31010 of the
California Government Code.
BACKGROUND/INFORMATION: According to resolution 95/380, the KMAC will
dissolve unless the Board of Supervisors takes action to extend its existence. All
provisions listed in resolution 95/380 will apply during this extension with the
exception of#4, Term of Office, which shall read as follows:
The Council members shall serve four (4) year terms,
continuing present appointments. Terms are staggered,
two ending in at the end of 1999 and three ending at
the end of 2001.
