HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01272003 - 99-261 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Honoring Myra ,Redick ) on the Occasion of her Retirement after 31 ) RESOLUTION NO. 99/261 years as a dedicated educator and leader ) KWEREAS; Myra Redick is retiring as Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District; and RWEREA,S Ms. Redick has served in this capacity since 1986 as well as serving as Interim Superintendent from March 1990 until October 1990; and WWEREA,; prior to being assigned as Assistant Superintendent she held the following positions in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District: Principal of Clenbrook Middle School (1982-1986), Vice Principal of Sequoia School (1981-1982), `Nice Principal of Holbrook Elementary School (1980-1981), Vice Principal of Loma Vista Intermediate School (January 1, 1980-June 30, 1980), Teacher at Riverview Middle School (1970-1980), and Teacher at Woodside Elementary School(1968-1970); and WIYEREAS having served as an outstanding teacher, an asset to her students, she also has distinguished herself as an administrator by participating in projects that served not only the school district and its employees but also the business community and the greater community of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District and Contra Costa County; and 9 EREA,5 she has never complained about the price of ice tea in local restaurants. ATOW, EHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors does hereby honor the career of Myra Redick by declaring October 5, 1999 as Myra Redick Day in Contra Costa County.
