R�cognizing the Participants in the
Cafforni i l4ding and7fiking Trail
WorkProject in Concord
U&Mg,9S, the 1§creation and open Space Volunteer Trail Day was held on
Sunday, Way S, 1996;
UMMgAS, this volunteer event was sponsored 6y the East Bay regional
(Tark(District's Volunteer Trail Waintenance Program, the City of Concord, the City of
Walnut Creep and the Friends of Concord Parks,
U�'JftE1 AS, dozens of volunteers came together and donned workgloves and
sunscreen to develop access and trail connections to Lime Ridge Open Space in the City
of Concord;
UMEU,7S, a large number of the volunteers were young people from the
Concord Teen Center,
`GWIEU_7S, this is an outstanding example of dedicated citizens partnering
with government to enhance recreationalopportunitiesforthe entire community.
NOW,, 01?EUTOU, BE IT RESOL'VED that the Board of Supervisors of
Contra Costa County does here6y express sincere appreciation to the participants of the
"California lid' ing and Ifiking Trail Work Project" in Concord and commends the
Friends of Concord Parks, the East Bay fgional Park(District, the City of Concord
and the City of Walnut in organizing and sponsoring this worthwhile community
event.
