JOHN TOFFOLI AS AN HONOREE ]
OF THE COUNTY'S ARTS AND CULTURE ]
COMMISSION ON ARTS RECOGNITION DAY ]
WHEREAS, October is recognized as the Arts and Culture Month throughout the United States. It is a
time for celebrating the arts and culture that enriches the lives of citizens everywhere; and,
WHEREAS, the arts organizations and cultural events contribute to the economic prosperity and growth
of Contra Costa County. The Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County is dedicated to
advancing the arts by promoting communications, education, appreciation and collabration throughout the
County, as well as stimulating creative growth in the community that celebrates diverse cultural expression;
and .
WHEREAS, the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County has initiated an annual Arts
Recognition Day to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and culture of
our County; and,
WHEREAS,JOHN TOFFOLI is the retired general manager of the Concord Pavilion and former
director of arts, cultural and leisure services for the cities of Richmond and Concord ;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County
does honor, recognize and commend
JOHN TOFFOLI
PASSED by vote of the Board members present on this 15th day of October, 1996.
