HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10171995 - 95-489 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA PROCLAIM the week of October 16-20,1995 RESOLUTION NO. 95/489 as "NATIONAL INFECTION CONTROL WEEK' in Contra Costa County The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: WHEREAS,President Ronald Reagan initially proclaimed National Infection Control Week; and WHEREAS,Merrithew Memorial Hospital and Health Care Centers are observing and celebrating NationalInfection Control Week during the third week of October;and WHEREAS,Contra Costa County recognizes and values the contributions of infection control professionals as gatekeepers for the identification,control,and elimination of pathogens and other agents which threaten the community health;and WHEREAS,infection control services are an essential component of a multi-disciplinary continuum of health care services;and WHEREAS,infection control services play a vital role in the delivery of cost-effective health care;and WHEREAS,Contra Costa County is proud and honored to have Merrithew Memorial Hospital and Health Care Centers' quality and progressive infection control services throughout the county. NOW,THEREFORE,LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY,CALIFORNIA,proclaim October 16 through 20 National Infection Control Week,and encourage all citizens to renew their commitment to the efforts of the men and women infection control professionals in mitigating the spread of infectious agents and improving quality of life. PASSED by the following vote of the Board of Supervisors on this 17 day of 1995. AYES: Supervisor..
