HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 11051991 - 91-720 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Honoring ) SUPERVISOR ROLLAND STARN ) RESOLUTION NO. 91/ 720 WHEREAS; Supervisor Rolland Starn of Stanislaus County has served as an officer of the County Supervisors Association of California since 1988 and ably chaired the Agriculture Task Force in prior years; Supervisor Rolland Starn has served as the 1990-91 CSAC President with commitment and dedication to all 58 counties; j President Rolland Starn guided counties and CSAC through an unprecedented state budget crisis with skill and wisdom; President Rolland Starn provided exceptional leadership in involving a broad cross-section of supervisors in CSAC committees and the Budget Task Force while also including the broader county family and affiliates; President Rolland Starn called more meetings of the Board of Directors than any other president in the history of CSAC, galvanizing a strong united front among supervisors and other county officials; President Rolland Starn led CSAC through the most significant governance changes for counties in California in the last decade, accomplishing the long-time goal of stable funding and program realignment. I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors hereby commends CSAC PRESIDENT ROLLAND STARK for his outstanding leadership and exceptional accomplishments on behalf of all counties in California. AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors sincerely thanks SUPERVISOR ROLLAND STARK for his unselfish dedication of time and effort to advance the cause of counties in California.
