HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10151991 - D.2 D. 2 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA DATE: October 15, 1991 MATTER OF RECORD --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBJECT: Formation of CCC Sanitation District No. 6, Martinez area. The Board on October 8, 1991 adopted Resolution No. 911659 making application to the Local Agency Formation Commission of Contra Costa County to approve the formation of Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 6 (Stonehurst) for the maintenance and operation of the sanitary facilities in Subdivision No. 7091, Alhambra Valley, Martinez, subject to review and reconsideration on this date, pending receipt of reports from the Public Works Department, County Counsel and the Environmental Health Division. The Board on October 10, 1991 received a petition containing 14 signatures of residents of the area expressing concern and requesting a public hearing to review the. proposed system. The Board this day received a report from County Counsel and a copy of a memo addressed to Supervisor Fanden from the Director of the Growth Management and Economic Development Agency relating to her concerns with respect to the provisions of the General Plan. The County Health Officer was also present to respond to any further questions. Chairman Powers noted that he had several requests to speak, but that the matter was placed on the agenda for decision and he therefore would not be taking public testimony at this time. Supervisor Fanden noted that Richard W. Smith, 2001 Vaca Creek Road, Martinez, had requested an opportunity to address the Board in that he had just learned of the proposed project. Chairman Powers called upon Mr. Smith for his remarks. Chairman Powers noted that the proceedings that the Board approved on October 8, 1991 was to make an application to LAFCO and that today the Board was to receive reports from County Counsel and Public Works and the Health Officer and then determine if it wished to reconsider its previous action. Supervisor Fanden discussed her concerns with respect to the proposed project. Supervisor Fanden moved to reconsider the prior approval and application to LAFCO. The motion died for lack of a second. NO FURTHER BOARD ACTION WAS TAKEN.
