CONTRA COSTA COUN'T'Y, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
IN THE MATTER OF )
Welcoming the participants of)
the "Alamo-Troitsk Student )
Exchange" program ) RESOLUTION NO. 89/727
WHEREAS, The citizens of the United States of America and the Union
of Soviet Socialist Republics share the desire to unlock productive
technologies and excel in the exchange of mutually beneficial ideas; and
WHEREAS, Through the cooperative efforts of the residents in Alamo
and Danville, California and the residents of Troitsk, Republic of
Russia, the "school of tomorrow" an exchange program centered on computer
learning, has provided each country the opportunity to visit each other's
homeland; and
WHEREAS, While promoting greater understanding and cooperation by
uniting intelligent and motivated families from each society, the ex-
change has culturally enlightened all participants and opened an endless
array of possibilities for our planet; and
WHEREAS, Chairpersons Vladimir Cherkovets and Stanislav Kazakov
accompanied 39 members of the "Alamo-Troitsk Student Exchange" program to
visit our County and share in this invaluable friendship; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of
Contra Costa County, California, USA, that the following representatives
are MOST CORDIALLY WELCOME on behalf of the citizens of Contra Costa
County: Galina Antonova, Antonina Berdyisheva, Nina Borisoglebskaya, Igor
Goryushin, Sergei Lebedev, Irina Minina, Svetlana Nemova, Andrey Portnov,
Victor Pronin, Alexandr Starodubtsev, Maria Stepanova, Alevtina Tebina,
Anatolii Sheblakov, Vadim Antonyuk, Konstantin Berezhnoi, Maxim Borisov,
Eugenii Chalkin, Dmitrii Danilyuk, Maxim Dolgikh, Regina
Dolgoarshyinnyikh, Nickolai Gladkov, Olga Golubeva, Vladimir Kiselev,
Eugenii Kovalishin, Anuar Konkashbaev, Maria Lobashova, Ekaterina
Loginovskaya, Daniil Manaenkov, Dmitrii Monzin, Irina Polishchuk, Maria
Polulyakh, Pavel Rudenchik, Maxim Ryuabtsev, Svetlana Senicheva, Maxim
Serienko, Alexei Solodov, Alexandr Taranichev, Dmitrii Vagin, Anna
Yavokhina, Larissa Sidnev, Tanya Sidnev, Julia Persiantev and Igor
Persiantev; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents of Contra Costa County
send wishes of great health and happiness back to the families of the
Soviet Union.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote of the Board members present on
this 14th day of November.
