CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of honoring )
KEN AND PAT BEHRING ) RESOLUTION NO. 89/678
As contributors of tremendous community spirit to everything
with which they are associated, Ken and Pat Behring have made a
niche for themselves in our community. They contribute more
than just their names to philanthropic events--they also lend a
hand and their financial support.
Ken Behring is that rare person who believes persistence leads
to success. He has traveled from all-state fullback in a small
Wisconsin town to NFL team owner, and from a muddy used car lot
to the dramatic Behring Museum for the world,' s finest collection
of classic automobiles. His vision helped create Blackhawk, an
extremely elegant community in the foothills of Mt. . Diablo.
Ken and Pat Behring have translated their personal interest in
and commitment to fitness by contributing to The Fitness Club at
Mt. Diablo Hospital. The Ken and Pat Behring Center for Health
and Fitness provides a low-cost alternative for neighbors,
staff, and local businesses. Ken serves on the Board of
Directors of the Mt. Diablo Hospital Foundation as an Honorary
Trustee, and Pat has served as Honorary Chair for many events.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
congratulates KEN AND PAT BEHRING in being selected as Mount
Diablo Hospital Foundation' s Man and Woman of the Year. They
are truly deserving of our recognition and thanks.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON October 17, 1989, by a unanimous vote by
the board members present.
