HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10171989 - 89-678 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of honoring ) KEN AND PAT BEHRING ) RESOLUTION NO. 89/678 As contributors of tremendous community spirit to everything with which they are associated, Ken and Pat Behring have made a niche for themselves in our community. They contribute more than just their names to philanthropic events--they also lend a hand and their financial support. Ken Behring is that rare person who believes persistence leads to success. He has traveled from all-state fullback in a small Wisconsin town to NFL team owner, and from a muddy used car lot to the dramatic Behring Museum for the world,' s finest collection of classic automobiles. His vision helped create Blackhawk, an extremely elegant community in the foothills of Mt. . Diablo. Ken and Pat Behring have translated their personal interest in and commitment to fitness by contributing to The Fitness Club at Mt. Diablo Hospital. The Ken and Pat Behring Center for Health and Fitness provides a low-cost alternative for neighbors, staff, and local businesses. Ken serves on the Board of Directors of the Mt. Diablo Hospital Foundation as an Honorary Trustee, and Pat has served as Honorary Chair for many events. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors congratulates KEN AND PAT BEHRING in being selected as Mount Diablo Hospital Foundation' s Man and Woman of the Year.
