The Board of Supervisors, RESOLVES THAT:
The County of Contra Costa on May 15, 1986 contracted with Meehleis
Modular Buildings, Inc. for Construction of Dorm H at Branch Jail,
Marsh Creek Road, Clayton, Budget Line Item No. 4411-4222,
Authorization No. 0928-WH222B, with Fairmont Insurance. Company as
surety, for work to be performed on the grounds of the County
pursuant to action of Board on March 11, 1986 and on October 28,
1986, in which the General Services Department was authorized to
proceed in the most expeditious manner in accordance with Public
Contract Code, 20134 for Housing and Fire Damage Reconstruction at
Clayton Rehabilitation Center(Branch Jail) ; and
The Director of General Services reports that said work has been
inspected and complies with the approved plans, special provisions,
and standard specifications, and recommends its acceptance as
complete as of October 6, 1987; and recommends the withholding of
$4,500 pursuant to a letter ' signed by the Contractor dated
September 23, 1987;
Therefore, said work is accepted as completed on said date, and the
Clerk shall file with the County Recorder a copy of this Resolution
and Notice as a Notice of Completion for said contract; and the
Director of General Services is directed to withhold $4,500 of
monies otherwise due pursuant to the letter signed by the
Contractor dated. September 23, 1987 .
Time extension to the date of acceptance is granted as the work was
delayed due to unforeseeable causes beyond the control and without
the fault or negligence of the Contractor.

AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson $ McPeak
