SUBJECT: Notification of Hearing to Consider the Amendment of Drainage Area 56
Boundary and Pian, Antioch Area. Project No. 7566-608228-87
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, as the Governing Board of
the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, RESOLVES
THAT.
The Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Act,
herein referred to as "Act", provides authority for said governing board to amend
drainage plans.
This Board has before it for consideration the proposed amendment of the
Drainage Area 56 Plan and the Drainage Area 56 boundary, consisting of that real
property as described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
The Board further has before it the Draft Negative Declaration, the
Engineer' s Report and the amended drainage plan entitled "Drainage Area 56 ,
Amended Boundary Map and Drainage Plan", dated January, 1987. Said documents,
which show the general location of said area and provide an estimate of the Cost
of the faci iities to be amended within the drainage area, are on file with and
.may be examined at the office .of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Adminis-
tration Building, Martinez, ;California.
It is proposed that the Drainage Area 56 Boundary and Plan be amended.
At 10 :30 a.m. on March 10, 1987 , in the Chambers of the Board of
5upervisurs, Administration Building, Martinez, California, this Board will
conduct a public hearing on the proposed amendment of said drainage area plan and
boundary fur said Drainage Area. At said hearing, this Board will consider and
act upon the Negative Declaration and will hear and pass upon any and all written
ur ural objections to the amendment of the Drainage Area Plan and Boundary. Upon
conclusion of the hearing, the Board may abandon the proposed amendment of plan
acid uoundary, or proceed with the same.
The Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to publish a Notice of the Hearing,
pursuant to Government Code SS 6066, once a week for two (2) successive weeks
Prior to the hearing, in the "Antioch Daily Ledger", a newspaper of general
circulation, circulated in Drainage Area 56. Publication shall be completed at
least seven (7) days before said hearing and said notice shall be given for a
period of not less than twenty (20) days.
The Clerk of the Board is further DIRECTED to mail a copy of the Notice of
Public Hearing to any interested party who has filed a written request for mailed
notice with the Clerk of the board or with the District, as provided by Govern-
ment Code Sections 54986k'ai and 54992(a) . Said mailing shall be performed at
least fourteen (14) days prior to the hearing.
RESOLUTION NO. 87/52
The exterior boundaries of said Drainage Area include lands within the City
of Antioch. The Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to forward to the governing body
Of said City a copy of this Resolution at least twenty (20) days before the above
noted 'nearing.

Real property situated in Contra Costa County, California. References to
boundaries, property lines, ownerships, and acreages are to Official Records
of said County.
Commencing at an angle point on the boundary of Contra Costa County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District Drainage Area 30C, at a point on the
centerline of Sand Creek Road, (said point being the common corner of
Sections 3," 4, 9, and 10, Township 1 North, Range 2 East, Mount Diablo Base
and Meridian) ; thence along said boundary, North 117.53 feet, to the True
Point of Beginning of this description. {
Thence continuing along the boundary of Drainage Area 30C, in a general
northeasterly direction 11 ,050 feet, more or less, to the centerline
intersection of Empire Avenue and 'Carpenter Road, (said intersection being
