SUBJECT: Approve Consulting Services Agreement with Hodges & Shutt, Aviation Planning
Services, for Consulting and Engineering Service for an Owner Maintenance
Hangar and Wash Rack on the West Side Tiedown Tenant area at Buchanan Airport
Specific Requests or recommendations & Background and Justification
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and Authorize the Public Works Director or his designee to!
sign on behalf of the County, a Consulting Services Agreement with Hodges & Shutt,
Aviation Planning Services, to provide engineering and planning work for the construction
of a wash rack and owner maintenance hangar to be installed on the West Side of the
Airport.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Consultant shall be paid a fixed price of Five Thousand Dollars
5,000 for all work done, which is in the current Airport budget.
REASONS OR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: Approximately 53 additional paved tiedown spaces
have been added to the West Side of the Airport. In addition, we have 64 existing
tiedowns on the West Side. We currently have an owner maintenance hangar and wash rack
on the East side of the Airport. There is a need for an owner maintenance hangar and
wash rack to serve the West Side tenants. This contract will provide the necessary
engineering services for this project.
