On October 9, 1984, the Employee Relations Officer submitted a Supplement to the Memorandum of Understanding between Contra Costa County Employees Association, Local No. 1, and the County. 2. This Board having thoroughly considered said Supplement, the same is approved. 3. Salaries and Terms and Conditions of Emeloyment, for Employees in the Public Defenders Unit represented by Employees Association, Local No. 1. The Supplement is attached hereto, marked Exhibit A and is incorporated herein as if set forth in full and made applicable to the employees in the above names unit. 4. If an Ordinance(s) is required to implement any of the foregoing provisions, the Board of Supervisors shall enact said Ordinance(s). Following adoption of this agreement by the Board of Sipervisors, representatives of the Public Defender's nVffice and the Public Defender's Bargaining Unit will meet to deve- lop "promotional standards" for use by the County Public Defender in deciding promotions of Grade III deputies to Grade IV de'Duties. A representative(s) of the County Personnel Department will attend all meetings to facilitate the development of "promotional standards;" 7. The eligible list resulting from a promotional test to pro- mote eligible Grade III Public Defenders to Grade IV will be utilized during the duration of the M.O.U. between Local No. 1 and the County; S.
