The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES
THAT:
On October 18, 1983, this Board passed a resolution .of-intention,
to vacate the County Highway described in'Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference and fixed November' 29, 1983
at 10:30 a.m. , in its chambers, as the time and place for the hearing
thereon and ordered that the resolution be published and posted as
required by law, which was done as shown by affidavits on file with
this Board.
The hearing was held at the time and place, this Board hearing
and duly considering all evidence offered concerning the vacation
by all interested parties.
This Board hereby FINDS that the proposed vacation will
not have a significant effect on the environment, and that
The project was encompassed by an Environmental Impact Report
previously prepared for Wildcat San Pablo Phase I Project.
The Planning Department having made its General Plan report
concerning this proposed vacation and this Board having considered
the General Plan, it finds pursuant to Government Code Sec. 65402(a)
that it has received the report of the Planning Commission's determination.
This Board hereby DETERMINES pursuant to Streets & Highways
Code Sec. 2381 that the vacation area is not useful as a non-motorized
transportation facility.
This Board therefore further FINDS that the hereinabove
described proposed vacation area dedicated to public use, is unnecessary
for present or prospective use, and it is HEREBY ORDERED VACATED subject
to any reservation and exception described in attached Exhibit "A".
The Public Works Director shall file with the County Clerk a
Notice of Determination concerning this vacation.
A certified copy of -this resolution,_ attested by. the
Clerk under seal, shall be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder.

Parcel 1
A portion of Central Street being a portion of those parcels of land described
in deeds to Contra Costa County recorded December 24, 1938 in Book 487 at
page 188 of Official Records and December 8, 1938 in Book 488 at page 212
of Official Records and all of that right of way for road purposes to Contra
Costa County recorded December 8, 1938 in Book 486 at page 467 of Official
Records, all records of Contra Costa County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of the parcel of land described
in deed to Contra Costa County recorded October 24, 1929 in Book 172 at page
483 of Official Records of said County at the northeasterly corner of the
previously mentioned County parq.el (487 O.R. 188) ; thence from said point
of beginning along said southerly line (172 O.R. 483) north 890 20' 40" west
5.75 feet to a point from which a radial line of a curve concave to the northwest
having a radius of 45.00 feet bears north 890 41' 39" west; thence southeasterly
along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 640 56' 52", a distance
of 51.01 feet to a point on the southwesterly line of said County parcel
(487 O.R. 188) from which a radial line of a curve concave to the northeast
having a radius of 125.00 feet bears north 490 14' 00" east; thence along
said southwesterly line southeasterly along the arc of said curve through

Records, all records of Contra Costa County, California, described as follows: ..
Beginning on the north line of the said Truman Addition to Richmond (8 M
198) at the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of 1st Street (formerly
Ninth Street) as shown on said map (8 M 498); said point of beginning bears
north 680 18' 20" east 130.29 feet from the northwest corner of said subdivision
(8 M 198); thence from said point of beginning along the said northerly prolon-
gation south 10 04' 20" west 14.37 feet to a point from which a radial line
of a curve concave to the south having a radius of 384.00 feet bears south
120 53' 16" east; thence easterly along the arc of said curve through a central
angle of 70 35' 02", a distance of 50.83 feet to the northerly prolongation
of the easterly line of 1st Street as shown on said map (8 M 198) ; thence

RESERVING THEREFROM, pursuant to the provisions of Section 8340 of the Streets
and Highways Code, the easement and right at any time, or from time to time,
to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers
and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any
highway or part thereof proposed to be abandoned and pursuant to any existing
franchise or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate,
replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires,
poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation
of gas pipelines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines and for
the transportation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum and its
products, ammonia, water, and for incidental purposes, including access to
protect the property from all hazards in, upon and over the area hereinbefore
described to abandoned.-
