HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11052002 - PR2 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County In the.Matter of Resolution No.=1689 RECOGNIZING THE BAYPOINT YOUTH MUNICIPAL ADVISORY COUNCIL WHEREAS, the 10 members Bay Point Youth Municipal Advisory Council was formed on October 1, 2002 with an objective to develop the youth of Bay Point through many programs which encourage the ability of its members to do things for themselves and their community; and WHEREAS, one of the major objectives is to develop citizenship and leadership in the youth of Bay Point through community involvement; and WHEREAS, the Bay Point Youth Municipal Advisory Council as well as the adult volunteers should most certainly be recognized for their pledge to provide their involvement to leadership andprovide their community with a wide range of vital services and ideas in the time to come; and WHEREAS, Contra Costa County recognizes the significant influence achieved by the youth, which will enable them to channel the energies and enthusiasm of so many people of all ages. NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, hereby proclaim their support and publicly commend the Bay Point Youth Municipal Advisory Council for their inspired efforts on behalf of their community and themselves. We, also, urge all citizens of Contra Costa County and their community to recognize the merits of this cause and to give generously of their knowledge and support.
