SUBJECT: Approve and Authorize the Public Works Director, or designee, to partially close a portion of
Danville Boulevard, on December 7, 2008 from 4:30pm through 8:00pm, for the purpose of
holiday tree lighting festival, Alamo area. (District III)
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
ADOPT Resolution No. 2007/ ;F/ approving and authorizing the Public Works Director,or designee,to partially
close a portion of Danville Boulevard, on December 7, 2008 from 4:00pm through 8:00pm, for the purpose of
holiday tree lighting ceremony, Alamo area. (District III)
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
Applicant shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Applicant will be unable to close the road for planned activities.

SUBJECT: Approving and Authorizing the Public Works Director,or designee,to partially close
a portion of Danville Boulevard, on December 7, 2008 from 4:30pm through

IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that permission is granted to Alamo Chamber of
Commerce to partially close Danville Boulevard,except for emergency traffic,on December 7,2008
for the period of 4:30pm through 8:00pm, subject to the following conditions:
1. Traffic will be detoured via adjacent lanes per plan reviewed by Public Works.
2. All signing to be in accordance with the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices.
3. Alamo Chamber of Commerce shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of
Contra Costa County.
4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for
Comprehensive General Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured
prior to permit issuance.
5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department, the California Highway
Patrol and the Fire District. I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an
