CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Proclaiming the Week of )
May 22, 1988 as Traffic Safety Week ) Resolution No. 88/2.56
WHEREAS, traffic collisions are the fourth leading cause of deaths in
California; and
WHEREAS, at least 92 percent of all injury-producing collisions are
attributed to human error and could be prevented; and
WHEREAS, public and private institutions, along with concerned individuals,
can promote traffic safety by increasing public awareness of safety
measures; and
WHEREAS, the State of California is observing May 22 through May 28,
1988, as California Traffic Safety Week;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF
CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED that we do hereby PROCLAIM the
third week of May, 1988 as Traffic Safety Week.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the unanimous vote of the Board on the - 10th
day of May 1988.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true *and correct copy of a
Resolution entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date
aforesaid.
